How We Created This Website...And Why We Chose Motivational Quotes?Hello, my name is Joe. My wife Jen and I would personally like to welcome you to our website, www.BeyondTheQuote.com. If you have few minutes, we would like to share the story of why we created this site. First you might ask, why motivational quotes? Well there are actually a few reasons. The easy answer would be, we have always enjoyed quotes and wanted to do something creative with them. But there is much more to it than that. 
It has always been fun for both of us, to uncover a new quote that we had never read before. In addition to that, finding quotes by people we were not familiar with, was always interesting too. Motivational quotes are uplifting and motivating, and after reading a good one, it makes us really think about it. We often found ourselves contemplating the true meaning behind some of our favorites, wondering what the exact situation a person may have been in when they spoke their magical words. But that’s just the beginning…Starting a few years back, Jen and I found ourselves clipping, collecting and saving various quotes that we came across in books, articles and other places. Whenever either one of us stumbled upon a really great one, we would share it with one another, discussing the message behind the quote. Nevertheless we found that reading motivational quotes were not only a great pick me up, but also had some historical meaning behind them too. Since we both enjoyed doing this so much we eventually evolved it into our website. As you probably can see, sharing motivational quotes with others is a a true passion of ours, but here is how it all got started. Sharing your knowledge and passion about a favorite interest will make you feel great. We were always intrigued by the internet and the idea of possibly creating a website. On one hand we looked at it as a challenge, because we had NO prior knowledge of how to create a website. On the other hand we saw it as a fun project for both of us. If we could figure out how to do this, we would be able to share our favorite quotes and what they meant to us, with you. We wanted to create something unique, which would provide more value to you, something more than just a quote. Not to mention, we knew while we worked on it together, we would both feel great, and have a lot of fun during the process. We really started believing that we could do this. Everything was moving along and we knew we could find a way to accomplish our goal, but there was one small problem… …can we really do this even if we have absolutely no website design experience? Like I said earlier, this part was going to be a challenge for both of us. It didn’t faze us at all though, we were so excited about our topic, and determined to get started. We were ready to learn and do whatever was necessary, just to begin. Scrambling for some answers, we began searching around the internet, looking at the different options out there that could help us make this work. To be honest, at first we weren’t really sure what we were looking for. We spent a lot of time searching, trying to avoid the scams and find something reputable. We wanted something reasonable in price and easy to understand. Ok, so we tried to avoid the scams but got pulled in anyway. Initially, we made a few bad choices, wasting some valuable time and money on products that claimed they would “reveal all the secrets” to website success. Their “sales” letter seemed so great. Soon after getting over the fact that we were taken for a ride, we continued our search and were fortunate enough to stumble upon a great system called SBI, which stands for Site Build It. Without getting into all the exciting details about SBI, let me just say this, it turned out to be EXACTLY what we needed to get the ball rolling…. …the simple tools and action guide included in SBI, created a clear-cut plan for us. Jen, who initially was not as hopeful as me from the get go, quickly began to believe that YES, this is it, we can do this. Giving something to others they can enjoy and use, made us feel great. From that point on, we have truly found that giving back and sharing our passion has made us feel great. During the past 3 years we have had a lot of fun creating new content that you can enjoy. We contribute to this site regularly, adding different types of quotes, the motivational quote of the week, in addition to other fun and motivating things. We still find great excitement and motivation whenever we work on adding new things. While we initially started this site to provide motivation for people like you (and us too!), it has really turned into a something much more than we ever imagined. Our site ranks very well at search engines like Google and Yahoo, and we receive hundred of visitors a day and have approximately a thousand subscribers to our newsletter. Some of our visitors have written to us, giving complements and appreciation to our site, which single handedly means the most. We have even received requests from other websites seeking advertising space on our pages. Who would have ever thought? Now Jen and I are each going to create our own site both based on another one of our favorite topics…besides, there’s nothing wrong with a little “friendly” competition, is there ;) Where will your brain and motivation take you? Everyone has a hobby, passion and knowledge about something, whether it is sports, collectibles, crafts, skills from your job, travel…think of anything that makes you feel good when you work on it, do it or participate in it. Come on…you must have thought of something…we used our “something” to create this website. You can share your valuable knowledge with others too! How did you find this site? You may have used a search engine like Google or Yahoo. People search everyday to find information about the topics you have knowledge of. You probably never thought of it that way, but it’s true, and now you can give it to them. Use your brain and motivation to share your knowledge about that special something you know and love. Best of all, if your lucky like us, it will turn out to be one giant motivational project. You will feel great as you contribute too, and depending on your goals, may even create some extra money in the process. It’s up to you and where your drive to succeed takes you.
